This season is all about new beginnings! In Spring/Summer 2021, we’re introducing you to a brand new round of today’s most influential designers, and a fresh new direction for our signature My Rowe Design program. We’ve added an interactive twist to this popular challenge, reimagining it as a creative competition amongst an elite group of designers, featuring projects that include their favorite Rowe and Robin Bruce products. Ten finalists will be showcased at High Point Market, culminating in the selection of three winners via in-person and online voting. These three “best of the best” will each receive a Rowe product credit to make their future design dreams a reality. Shannon Peppeard studied at the Harrington College of Design but began her career in the financial sector, while continuing to practice her considerable design talent on friends and family homes. She eventually pivoted to full-time interior design in 2006, developing a signature style that makes sure every space is a reflection of the client’s needs and desires, while incorporating a timeless classic aesthetic.

HER MY ROWE DESIGN CHALLENGE INSPIRATION I would describe my Rowe design challenge project as warm and welcoming. I loved the apricot color of the velvet I chose for the Skyler Gold Chair — I think the gold tones on the legs will compliment the fabric well.

Christina Kim is an interior designer based in Manasquan, NJ, specializing in residential interiors with a modern edge. She draws upon her formal design education for inspiration, as well as a lifetime of training her eye during her time traveling and living in Los Angeles, New York and Paris. HER MY ROWE DESIGN CHALLENGE INSPIRATION My goal was to blend masculine and feminine elements through fabrics, styling and art. I think the nailheads [on the Springfield Chair] add that masculine line but I could blend it with the softer colors of the fabrics.

It’s a small-scale piece that is the perfect size for a corner, and is stylish and interesting enough to stand on its own. It has beautiful lines combined with a gold metal base which makes it feel like a classic with a modern, edgy vibe.
